Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage is a non-invasive therapy that stimulates lymph flow and circulation in the lower extremities, reduces swelling and heaviness in the legs, and contributes to tissue recovery and regeneration. The therapy is pleasant, passive, and is often used as part of the rehabilitation process.

The therapy works using special rhythmic compression systems. By alternately filling and emptying air, rhythmic pressure is created that stimulates the natural flow of lymph and blood towards the center of the body. This reduces edema, improves circulation, and accelerates the removal of excess fluid and metabolic products from the tissues.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the treatment is relaxing and comfortable. Most patients describe a rhythmic compression and release sensation similar to a light massage, without pain or discomfort.

Many patients notice a feeling of lighter legs, reduced tension and overall relief after the first session. Visible reduction in swelling typically develops with consistent treatment.

In the initial phase, treatments are usually recommended several times per week, depending on the severity of swelling and the therapist’s recommendation. Frequency may later be reduced based on achieved results.
